Bible Text: Luke 9:28-36 | Preacher: Ed McNeill | Transfiguration Sunday falls at the end of the Season of Epiphany and immediately before Lent. In the Gospel it occurs just before Jesus heads to Jerusalem for his Crucifixion and Resurrection. How shall we understand this. Jesus is transfigured and revealed in his Glory. The next time we see Jesus in his Glory is after his resurrection. In this sermon Ed explores the context Luke provides at the beginning of the passage and shows how Jesus is seen here taking up his cross and offering hope to his disciples who witness this amazing event.
